FELICIANO COSTA
born in 1947, lives in Moena (TN), Italy.
Feliciano Costa is a carver with a sound knowledge of art which he perfected during his youth in Val Gardena. He has been a mask carver ever since the 80s and has produced both masks and copies of ancient models of the traditional characters of the Carnival in Fassa for the local Ladin Cultural Institute. As a prolific artist, he is a perceptive observer of human personality, which he often reproduces with irony and sarcasm in his masks.
He is a co-founder of the “Mascherai Alpini” Association.
He especially uses Swiss Pine wood for his masks.
