Pierfrancesco Solero

PIERFRANCESCO SOLERO – 1961-2018 – Sappada (UD)

As a son of Francesco Solero, a mask carver from Sappada, Pierfrancesco Solero attended an Art School and graduated in Graphic Arts.

In the 90s, he gradually started with his activity as a carver by carving masks, bas-reliefs and sculptures in the round and by participating in several conventions and competitions in the North-Eastern Italy.

He also promotes art events on wooden carving in Sappada and is involved in craft business.

Perfrancesco Solero is a co-founder and the current Vice-President of the “Mascherai Alpini” Association.

He mainly uses Weymouth and Swiss Pine wood for his masks.
